What a great weekend I spent with my fellow team members of Heartfelt Sentiments.  We attended a Product Launch in Houston and got to play with some of the new things coming out May 1st and we had time to connect and deepen our friendships.  I must say I really love hanging out with these great ladies!  And did I say, LAUGH OUT LOUD?  'Cause we did.

My Favorite CTMH Stamp Set - Blog Hop

This month is Stampaganza...

I have accepted my first blog hop challenge with the Heartfelt Sentiments Team and it is to showcase my favorite stamp set.  I am head over heels in love with all the possibilities of the SOTM set, Sunshine Birdies.  Here's one of the cards I created using the cute butterflies and birds:

I got the inspiration from Nancy Ball for the random stamping of the birds on white background and then just adding splashes of colors with the CTMH Watercolor pencils.  I used some B&T from the Penelope paper pack along with a zip strip.  The sentiment is from stamp set C1619, So Many Smiles Occasions.

Happy Birthday Sketch Challenge

Well, today is my baby boy's 18th birthday.  Happy Birthday Anthony, you have given me so much joy and happiness.

So, in honor of those special boys in our lives, I am posting a card sketch challenge.  In doing this challenge myself, I realized how much I love using our How-To books because they are so easy to follow and enable me to create quickly.  Here is the sketch I used from our Make It from Your Heart Volume 2 idea book.

I used the Urban Paper Pack and Accessories.  The stamp sets I used were Cricut Artiste Collection Birthday for the cupcake & Jennifer's Hand for the letters.

Scrapbooking: Where Do I Start?

March Card Buffet Featuring the Stamp of the Month

 

Just want to share the cute cards I made over the weekend using our March SOTM, Sunshine Birdies.  What I love about this set is not only the cutest birds ever,  but the sentiment "You Are My Sunshine".  When my kids were babies, I would sing this to them as I rocked them.  I was really suprised about a month or two ago when my daughter, who is 15 now and into alternative music, asked if she could download Johnny Cash's song, "You Are My Sunsine".  Do you think that stuck with her and the familiarity of it pulled at her heartstrings?  I'd like to think so.

Today I am going live with my new and improved blog.  I had a blog on Word Press but it was difficult to navigate so with the help of my great friend and business mentor, Melissa Robinson, we have created this new space. Thanks Melissa, your the best!

This is a space I hope to share my gifts of love, humor, and enthusiasm for creativity to inspire YOU to preserve and share your memories.  

Just a little bit about me, I am married with two children.  I have lived a life full of crafting from embroidery, knitting, sewing, coloring, to card making, but my favorite by far is scrapbooking.  When I scrapbook, I relive the moments and love that is in my life and I want to be able to pass that on to to my kids.  As a Close To My Heart Consultant I also get to share this love of crafting with other great people that have become friends!

What you can expect to see on this website will be regular post of art that I am creating, technique videos, maybe an ocassional papercrafting comic, and also ideas that you can try. And, I will always keep you up-to-date on the latest news from Close To My Heart.   I hope to post a couple of times a week so go to the bottom right of this page and either subscribe or follow by email to be advised of new posts.
